The 18-year-old male shot and killed Friday night in Bessemer has been identified as Defarris Parham.
Parham was found shot to death on the campus of Davis Middle School around 9 p.m. last night. Bessemer Police continue to investigate the homicide, but there are no suspects in custody at this time. Several witnesses were being interviewed shortly after the fatal shooting.
Two cousins of Parham spoke to ABC 33/40 reporter Cory McGinnis Saturday, telling him that the victim had just recently celebrated his 18th birthday before being gunned down.

A 18-year-old male was found shot to death on the campus of Davis Middle School in Bessemer Friday night.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. and it is believed that the victim was shot at a nearby location before collapsing on school grounds. Bessemer Police officers were called to the scene after reports of gunshots in the area.
Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time, but investigators are currently interviewing witnesses.
