Two Tuscaloosa men have been arrested in connection with a Christmas Day burglary at an apartment, police said.

Scotty Tyrone Anderson, 20, and Ashton Cortez Brown, 21, have each been charged with first-degree burglary after they allegedly entered an unlocked apartment in the 1100 block of East Hargrove Road around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and forced the occupants into a closet before stealing items from the location. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, which police, a criminal investigator working a holiday burglary detail, spotted about an hour later in a K-Mart parking lot on Skyland Boulevard.

Inside the car, officers found four subjects, including Anderson and Brown, and transported them all to headquarters for questioning. Investigators later obtained warrants for both men in question and booked them into the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where the currently are being held on $30,000 bonds.
