Hoover police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with an armed home invasion that occurred Thursday night.
Ronald Odell King, 23, of Docena, was arrested shortly after robbing a couple at gunpoint of personal property, including a Ford pickup truck, at their Alpine Village apartment around 10:30 p.m.
Officers located the stolen truck outside an Ashford Townhome in Bluff Park a short time later and found King walking in the parking lot. Following a brief chase, he was apprehended without further incident.
The victims' property and truck was recovered at the scene.
Detectives today obtained warrants against King, charging him with two counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree theft of property, one county of first-degree burglary, one count of marijuana possession and one count of obstructing justice by using false identification.
King is awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail on bonds totaling $345,300.
