DeKalb County sheriff's deputies last weekend arrested three people on drug and stolen property charges, and one other person wanted for outstanding warrants, Sheriff Jimmy Harris said today.
A sheriff's drug task force and Fort Payne police executed a search warrant July 27 at a home on County Road 1006 following several reports of drug activity at the location.
Once inside, agents found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, two stolen guns, three stolen four-wheelers and a trailer with an altered Vehicle Identification Number.
Joshua Kilgro, 40 of Fort Payne, Christina Ann Nixs, 32 of Rainsville and Claire McKeehan Davidson, 36 of Fort Payne, were arrested and each charged with unlawful possession of controlled Substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of first-degree receiving stolen property and two counts of second-degree receiving stolen property.
Another Fort Payne man at the residence, 30-year-old Michael James King, was arrested for several outstanding warrants.
"These arrest were made possible because of the concerned citizens calls to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office," Harris said in a release. "The Drug Task Force and Fort Payne Police did a great job on this case and getting the children out of this situation."
