A 32-year old woman's body was found on the campus of Gadsden State Community College in Cherokee County Wednesday morning.
Melissa Hudgins was found inside a mechanical room at the arena, and a source indicates that Hudgins may have been strangled.According to the ABC affiliate in Chattanooga, Tenn., Hudgins' car was found by investigators about 40 miles north of Chattanooga with an identification card belonging to Vennie Keaton. Authorities are calling Keaton "person of interest" at this time.Keaton's identification indicates he may have worked at Gadsden State. Hudgins worked at the school, and Dr. Ray Staats, the school's president, says the victim was an outside contractor. The Cherokee campus was shutdown, but is expected to be open tomorrow.
