750 swimmers at Birmingham's Crossplex

Starting Friday, Birmingham Swim League, the state's highest nationally ranked aquatics organization, will host the largest swim meet to date at the Birmingham Crossplex facility. The event runs from Friday through Sunday and will feature over 750 athletes ages 5-18. The participants are from Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Tennessee.

The "BSL Cranberry Classic" will showcase athletes at all levels of competition - from beginning swimmers to nationally ranked Olympic Trials qualifers. The Classic will be sanctioned by USA{} Swimming, but will rely on volunteers to run the meet proceedings.
