A behind-the-scenes look at the technical side of Regions Field

One room inside the new baseball stadium might not look like much, but it is the heart and soul of Regions Field.

It's where Mike Ferko calls the shots.

It has everything like monitors, switches and buttons. It's been a process, but one that's worth it.

"It's really come together great in the last few days," Ferko said. "We got the board turned on and got some content out there. It's been really exciting to see how good a video board we really do have."

Nine employees control four cameras from all over the field.

From the room, they can also send highlights, instant replays, player bios, stats and advertisements to the big jumbo screen in left field.

Ferko says at first, setting up this production was a bit stressful. But, now with opening day here, Ferko says he and his crew are ready to give Barons fans the experience of a lifetime.

"There were some challenges along the way, but at the end of the day, it's all behind us," he said. "And we're moving full speed forward and we're ready to go and put on a great show for everyone tonight and moving's only going to get better."
