ABC 33/40 heads to South Carolina
BIRMINGHAM - AL —
Nearly 40 people from North Birmingham are headed to Spartanburg, South Carolina.
They are going there to see examples of a successful pollution cleanup. The group will meet with environmental protection agency field agents. They will also visit sites that have already been cleaned up and areas re-developed as a result of the federal superfund.
Environmental cleanup is already underway in several North Birmingham neighborhoods. ABC 33/40's Marissa Mitchell will have more on their trip and their findings beginning Thursday at 6 p.m.
