Alabama football set for visit to White House
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's national championship football team is set to visit President Obama.
The White House announced Thursday that Obama will honor the Crimson Tide on Monday.
The Tide was initially scheduled to make its third White House visit in four years on March 6.
The trip was postponed because of bad weather.
Last year's trip celebrated what Obama called a "deeply meaningful" season coming in the wake of a deadly tornado that struck Tuscaloosa and other parts of Alabama.
