Gene Stallings and his 1992 national championship football team wasn't the only team honored at Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday night.
The Alabama Gymnastics team led by Sarah Patterson were honored by receiving their national championship rings on the field at halftime.
"These ladies came to Alabama for the chance to be champions, for the opportunity to stand in front of 101,000 fans as national champions," Patterson said in a released statement. "It is what they work for every day. It is the goal, for both athletes and coaches, every year."
