Alabama man scamming people from jail

A man imprisoned in Georgia is charged in an Alabama telephone scam.{} Jesse Barrett Mainor, 23, faces one count of impersonating a police officer, even though he's already in prison.{} Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson says someone posing as a police officer or court official made a series of phone calls to people in the town, demanding money. Thompson says investigators tracked the calls to Mainor.{} He is originally from Prattville, but is currently serving time in Georgia.{}{} {}Georgia prison records show Mainor is serving 15 years for robbery and assault in Lowndes County, Georgia. He's being held at Autry state prison near Pelham, Georgia.{}{} {}Court records aren't available online to show whether Mainor has an attorney in the Alabama case.
