Alabama, Mississippi have agreement to continue high school rivalry

Alabama and Mississippi appear to have a deal in place to continue their annual high school sports rivalry.

AHSAA official Alvin Briggs told the Mobile Press Register that Alabama and Mississippi will be "holding a press conference soon on the continuation of the All-Star Game".

The Alabama-Mississippi All Star Football Game began in Mobile in 1988. The game moved to Montgomery in 2011. The game appeared in jeopardy because there was not an official deal in place for 2013.

The deal to continue with the all star rivalry could allow the states to alternate locations on an annual basis. To this point, the Alabama-Mississippi All Star Games for{}football and basketball have been held exclusively in Alabama. It's speculated that Mississippi would host basketball in 2014 and football in 2015.
