Alabama's Overstreet earns Gold Glove at second base
Kyle Overstreet's defensive reputation has become a nationwide topic.
The Alabama freshman was named the Rawlings Gold Glove second baseman by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Taylor Dugas is the only other Alabama player to ever win an ABCA Gold Glove (2011).
Overstreet started 63 games at second base and committed six errors in 363 attempts. He had an personal hand in 63 of Crimson Tide's 80 double plays this season.
Eighty double plays is the second highest total in the country.
Overstreet also produced at the plate, with a .271 batting average, 37 RBI and 23 runs.
