Alabaster homicide suspect dies in Mississippi

The lead suspect in the death of Alabaster resident William David Moore has died.{} According to a release from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Lamario Brown, a Birmingham resident, died while in custody in Mississippi.{}

In September, Brown was taken into custody in Jackson, Mississippi after local law enforcement found the victims car.{} He was then charged with Receiving Stolen Property first degree by Jackson authorities and a Murder warrant was subsequently obtained by Shelby County Sheriff's investigators charging him with Moore's death.{}

Brown remained in custody in Mississippi while the extradition process was underway that would have transferred him back to Alabama to face the Murder charge.{} The Shelby County Sheriff's Office was notified{}Wednesday{}December 5, 2012, that Brown died while in custody in Mississippi. {}An autopsy revealed that Brown died from medical complications.

Shelby County Sheriff Chris Curry stated that, "although we will not see this case reach a conclusion through the Court, I am confident that no one else was involved in Mr. Moore's death."
