Housing director: pipe replacement complete in Marks Village

All piping inside the Mark Village Housing Development in Gate City has been replaced, according to Naomi Truman, executive director of the Housing Authority--Birmingham District.Truman told ABC 33/40 Thursday that Alagasco finished 20,000 ft of pipes in the complex, which had a deadly explosion last December.The National Transportation Safety Board says the piping may have contributed to that explosion. The incident is under investigation and in litigation.Truman says a representative with Alagasco remains on the site to address any resident's safety concerns.
