Animal cruelty charges filed after cats were found dead on UM campus
An arrest has been made after cats were found dead of unnatural causes on the University of Montevallo campus.
Christian Todd Slaton is charged with four counts of animal cruelty. He was arrested Tuesday and released on a $20,000 bond.
According to University of Montevallo spokesperson, Jamie Bessette, Slaton has been suspended and is no longer enrolled at the university.
Slaton's preliminary court appearance is set for December 12.
