Anniston Army Depot prepares for Memorial Day ceremony

Many organizations are busy planning Memorial Day events.{} It's no different at the Anniston Army Depot.{} The depot will once again host a wreath-laying ceremony May 22.{} The ceremony honoring American veterans will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the McClellan Cemetery, located on the former Fort McClellan property.{} The ceremony will include a wreath-laying and several depot employees will place American flags on the 355 graves.The DLA Distribution commander, Lt. Col. Robert Rouse, will be the featured speaker.{} The Gold Star Wives have been invited to participate in the event as well as Lt. Col. Gregory Pass.{} Pass is an assistant ROTC professor of military science at Jacksonville State University; part of the Chemical Corps Regimental Association; in the 167th Theater Sustainment Command; and member of the American Legion. About 2,800 government civilians stock the Anniston Army Depot's workforce, along with two military personnel and 720 contractors.{} The depot provides industrial and technological support in its mission to equip and sustain joint warfighters and allies.
