Monday night, people will have another chance to voice opinions on Pelham's proposal to create its own school system. The meeting will take place at the Pelham Civic Center Complex.
In June, the city completed a feasibility study about Pelham pulling away from Shelby County Schools. One of the benefits was the location and condition of some of the county's schools in the Pelham area.
City councilors believe some people are bypassing Pelham for other areas because it doesn't have its own school system.
The public hearing will take place Monday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Pelham Civic Center.
Alabaster recently broke away and welcome its first students this fall.
