Army officer in child-sex case had Bronze Star
The Army says an officer from Alabama who faces child-sex charges in Colorado was previously awarded medals including the Bronze Star. The Army released some of 1st Lt. Aaron G. Lucas' service record.
The 31-year-old is being held in the El Paso County jail in Colorado Springs on 21 counts including sexual assault on a child, enticement and indecent exposure. Lucas is assigned to Fort Carson outside Colorado Springs. The Army didn't provide his hometown in Alabama or his deployment history.
His decorations include the Afghan Campaign Medal and the Bronze Star, which is awarded for heroic or meritorious achievement.
