Two arrests have been made in connection with the death of a man found in the Warrior River mid-March.{} Corey Steven Clark, 24, and Christopher Lee Baughn, 28, were arrested this week and placed in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.{} The men are charged with Capital Murder.

March 20, the body of 54-year-old Floyd Thomas Carlee was discovered in the water by a man fishing.{} Carlee's family reported him missing in July 2012.{} Bessemer Police had been unable to find him.{} When the fisherman located the body, Sheriff's Detectives began an investigation and discovered that the victim was robbed and beaten to death at a mobile home park on 4th Avenue in Bessemer. The body was then placed in the river to cover up the murder.

Sheriff's detectives say the investigation revealed that Clark and Baughn planned ahead and carried out the assault on the victim at the location he was murdered. We are told the investigation is ongoing and other arrests are likely.
