Atlanta Falcons selected for HBO Sports' Hard Knocks

ATLANTA - GA — The Atlanta Falcons will be featured on HBO's Hard Knocks, which debuts Aug. 5.It's the ninth season of the HBO series, which aims to give fans an all-access look at life in an NFL training camp. According to a release issued by the team, an NFL Films crew will collect more than 1,500 hours of footage from the teams training camp in Flowery Branch, Ga.Former Alabama receiver Julio Jones and former UAB receiver Roddy White will be among the Falcons players that will be featured in-depth in the series."We are excited about the opportunity to give our fans a behind the scenes look at what it takes to prepare an NFL team for the rigors of a 16-game regular season and beyond," Falcons owner Arthur Blank said in a statement on the team's website. "This marks the first time that our franchise will be featured on Hard Knocks and we look forward to showcasing our great players and coaches to football fans all across America."The Hard Knocks season will be five episodes, each an hour in length. It's scheduled to air Tuesday's at 9 p.m. throughout August and into the first week of September.
