Junior college cornerback Joseph Turner will be part of Auburn's 2014 signing class.
Turner played the past two seasons at the College of San Mateo in California. The football teams Facebook page announced Auburn's scholarship offer on Thursday following the players official visit. Turner is expected to officially sign later this week.
Turner is rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals. He originally committed to be part of Washington State's signing class but he fell short of the academic requirements needed to enroll last month.
Turner is the sixth defensive back in Auburn's 2014 signing class but it's unclear whether Kalvaraz Bessent will remain with the team. The cornerback from Camden County high school in Georgia was arrested last week on drug related charges.
Turner will be the 24th member of Auburn's signing class.
