Auburn defensive end Elijah Daniel did not take part in practice on Tuesday.
The sophomore worked on the side in shorts and a T-shirt while his teammates took part in the second full pads workout of the spring.
"We held him out today but it's nothing serious," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. "He'll be back out there pretty quick."
Daniel played in all 14 games last season and produced nine tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and 11 quarterback hurries.
Auburn returns to practice on Thursday for it's fifth practice of the spring.
