The Auburn Athletics Department has launched a program which enables fans to upgrade seat locations at men's basketball games using their smartphones at Auburn Arena. The service will be available for the Feb. 6 contest against Alabama.
Auburn has partnered with Experience, an Atlanta-based company, to offer technology that allows fans to download an application to their phones and register for improved seat locations once inside Auburn Arena.
"We are constantly looking for ways to enhance the gameday experience for our fans," assistant athletic director Jon Sirico said. "This program allows us put the power in the hands of our fans by allowing them to use their smart phones to upgrade their seats. The technology is amazingly simple for the fans."
One of the athletic department's five goals is to enhance the gameday experience for our fans. This program is one of the ways Auburn is putting the experience back in the hands of Auburn faithful attending games in Auburn Arena.
Prior to the game, fans can register on auburn.findexp.com to receive a notification for upgrades. Once inside Auburn Arena, patrons can upgrade by entering credit card information and immediately receive new seat locations in the lower level. Auburn will have upgrades available in three areas of the lower level - the corner, midcourt and the Scholarship Club.
The seat upgrades are not substitutes for a game ticket and purchase of a game ticket is required for entrance to Auburn Arena.
Auburn has six remaining men's basketball games in the 2013 season, that will be eligible for seat upgrades in Auburn Arena - Feb. 6 vs. Alabama, Feb. 13 vs. Arkansas, Feb. 16 vs. Florida, Feb. 20 vs. Texas A&M, March 2 vs. Vanderbilt and March 6 vs. Tennessee.
