Auburn's Dion Wade to transfer, play basketball at Miami (Ohio)

Auburn's Dion Wade is leaving the basketball program and will transfer to Miami (Ohio) University.

The move free's up a scholarship and leaves Auburn with 13 scholarship players, the limit allowed by the NCAA.

Wade played 30 games as a true freshman last season, averaging three points and 1.3 rebounds a game. He announced his decision to transfer on twitter:

I made the decision to commit to Miami university.Feels good to call Miami university my new home. Time to eat

Wade will likely miss the 2014-15 season after he underwent ACL surgery last month.

Forward Cinemon Bowers and guards Kareem Canty, Antoine Mason and K.C. Ross Miller transferred into the Auburn program this offseason.

The Tigers also added guards Jack Purchase and TJ Lang in their 2015 signing class.
