Auburn's Hal Baird to be honored at SEC Baseball Tournament
Hal Baird will return to the diamond at this month's SEC Baseball Tournament.
The programs all-time wins leader will be a part of this year's SEC Legends class.
Baird coached Auburn for 16 seasons (1985-2000) and won 634 games in that span. The Tigers advanced to the College World Series in 1994 and 1997.
Auburn reached 30 wins every season that Baird was the coach.
Baird will be recognized by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive during the semifinals of the SEC Tournament, which are scheduled for May 25.
Kentucky's Terry Shumpert, LSU's Skip Bertman and Missouri's Gene McArtor make up the rest of this year's SEC Legends class.
