Auburn's Marshall and Davis earn SEC Player of the Week honors
Auburn's dominant performance over Tennessee produced a pair of star-studded performances.
Nick Marshall is the SEC Offensive Player of the Week and Chris Davis is the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Marshall ran for 214 yards and two touchdowns in Auburn's 55-23 win over Tennessee. It's the third highest rushing total for a quarterback in school history.
Cam Newton ran for 217 yards against LSU in 2010 and Travis Tidwell ran for 222 against Furman in 1946.
Marshall also threw a touchdown pass in Auburn's win.
Chris Davis sparked a special performance on special teams.
Auburn's senior defensive back scored on an 85-yard punt return in the second quarter. It's was the program's first punt return touchdown since 2008.
Davis also had a 42 yard return to set up the Tigers first touchdown.
Corey Grant returned the second half kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, which makes it the first time in school history that a kick and a punt were returned for scores.
Auburn hosts Georgia Saturday at Jordan Hare Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
