Bessemer police searching for second suspect in fatal shooting Wednesday night

The Bessemer Police Department is searching for a second suspect believed to have been involved in a fatal shooting Wednesday night.

Jimbroski Peterson, 20, is wanted in connection with the death of 28-year-old Jimmy Hannah, who was found shot at an apartment on Exeter Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. The victim was transported to UAB Hospital where he later died.

As officers began arriving at the shooting location, they were given information that Peterson and another suspect, 24-year-old Ronald Ross, were attempting to flee the scene by foot.

Ross was taken into custody in the 2600 block of Carolina Terrace while Peterson managed to elude capture.

According to a news release, Hannah and the two suspects had been in an ongoing feud before the shooting, which occurred following an altercation between the three men.

Felony warrants for Murder have been obtained against both suspects.
