Birmingham city council still says it cannot give the stamp of approval for millions of dollars in bond money.
Council members held a special meeting this morning to discuss the bond issue.
It was the first time Mayor William Bell and the council sat down and talked about the bond issue in quite some time.
They talked about 73 million dollars in bond money that would be used for street repaving and park renovations among other things.
Some say the money needs to be released because it's what the people of Birmingham voted for back in November.
Bell says the facts given to the council this morning were repetitive. "The same information we've given council in the past, is the same information we shared today," says Bell.
City council agreed to take a vote on the issuing of the bond Tuesday.
