Birmingham man, 51, charged in fatal stabbing of teen
A Birmingham man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing of a teenager Thursday, police said.
David Turner, 51, is charged with capital murder for the death of 16-year-old Timothy Bryant. Police say Turner stabbed Bryant in the neck then stole the victim's bike in the 2700 block of 29th Avenue North around noon.
Bryant was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Turner, who was taken into custody shortly after the attack, is currently being held without bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
