Birmingham man arrested in Tuscaloosa for heroin & counterfeit money

Agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force arrested a Birmingham man for heroin and counterfeit money.{} Williams Earl Moore was arrested after a short investigation Monday evening.{} Agents learned that Moore was selling heroin and approached him after a drug transaction took place.{} Moore ran and after a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody.{} During the arrest, agents recovered 1.4 grams of heroin, $1,409.00 in cash and $1,635.00 in counterfeit cash.{}


Moore is being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $190,000 bond. He's charged with one count of attempted trafficking (heroin), 5 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of obstruction of justice by using a false identity.{} Moore was not injured while being arrested.{} His head bandages are from a preexisting medical condition.
