LAKE MARTIN - AL — At least one man died in an Alabama lake this weekend. Crews are searching for a second possible drowning victim in a separate incident. Police confirm a 58 year old man from Birmingham drowned in Lake Martin.The victim has been identified as 58 year old Mark James Ajluni of Birmingham. Police say he drowned in the Sandy Creek area of the lake Saturday.According to a witness, Ajluni was swimming back from an island on the lake to a dock when he went under water. The witness says he resurfaced briefly before going under a final time.Divers later recovered his body.Crews in St. Clair County are currently searching Logan Martin Lake for 50 year old Kent Wesley Franklin. The Sheriff's Office says he was boating with several other people when he jumped into the lake near Pier 59. He didn't resurface. He's considered missing, but the Sheriff's Office believes he may have drowned.
