Birmingham Man Sentenced For Sending Tweeting Threat Against President
BIRMINGHAM - AL —
A judge sentenced a Birmingham man to one year in prison for threatening the life of President Obama on Twitter.
26-year-old Jarvis Britton pleaded guilty in March to tweeting threats against the President in September. Investigators say on September 14th, he tweeted the message, "Let's kill the president. F.E.A.R."
After Britton completes his prison term, he must serve three years of supervised release.
