Birmingham mothers "Rally for Change"

In the face of rising death rates among women who give birth, thousands across the country are rallying for better maternity care. This Labor Day, "National Rally for Change" took place in 45 states.

Here in Birmingham, a handful of women gathered at Caldwell Park.

They say, it's important for woman who are pregnant to be informed about their birth options, which could save the lives of birthing mothers.'

Heather Vildibill, who was rallying "Hospitals in our community are making a great efforts to be more consumer friendly and give lots of options to our pregnant women in Alabama. So we're just here to let them know what their options are and make sure they're educated about their decision before going into a hospital setting."
