Birmingham Police charge man for O'Reilley Auto Parts robbery

The Birmingham Police Department has charged a man in connection to the robbery of O'Reilley Auto Parts at 260 Gadsden Highway.{}Johnny Effinger, 31, of Birmingham, has been chargd with first degree robbery{} and is currently in the Jefferson County Jail on a $250,000.00 bond.Officers arrived to investigate the robbery on Wednesday afternoon, and were able to gather information on the suspect and his vehicle.{} East Precint officers located the vehicle with three occupants inside on John Rogers Drive.{} As they approached, the suspects fled on foot, but Effinger was caught and taken into custody.He was later identified as the subject involved in the robbery.
