Birmingham police charged 3rd suspect in murder of Berry twins

      BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Birmingham police announced Thursday the arrest of a third suspect in connection with last year's murder of twin brothers in Wylam.

      Terrell McMullin, 21, of Birmingham, is charged with two counts of capital murder for the shooting deaths of Jonathan Berry and Jerry Berry, who were both shot and killed in June 2013 at their home on Attalla Street.

      McMullin joins 26-year-old Stanley Chatman and 21-year-old Crystal Nelson as defendants in the murder case. Like McMullin, Chatman is charged with two counts of capital murder, though, the latter is also facing an additional count of attempted murder. Nelson is charged with two counts of felony murder.

      Twin brothers Jonathan and Jeremy Berry, 17, were shot and killed June 29, 2013 at their home in Wylam.

      Chatman and Nelson were arrested in July 2013.

      All three suspects are being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
