Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper joined community leaders and churches for the "Prayer Force United" Prayer Walk on Saturday.The event began Saturday morning with an indoor prayer meeting held at 150 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr. Boulevard. After the meeting, the group hit the streets of the Smithfield Community for the Prayer Walk."Prayer Force United" was formed in 2008 by pastors and city leaders. Organizers say "Prayer Force United" was established to put the power of prayer to work in the streets of Birmingham. Each month, churches, ministries, leaders and citizens from all over the Birmingham Metro area come together to walk through and pray over the most crime-ridden neighborhoods in the city.
