Birmingham school leaders talk to Parker High School parents

Parents with the Parker High School PTA met with Birmingham City school leaders Monday night.

Superintendent Dr. Craig Witherspoon says parents want to be up-to-speed on a number of issues going on in the school system. He talked about the need to raise the graduation rate as well as the school savings plan.

Dr. Witherspoon says "Coming out on the other side of this recovery plan is a district that will be leaner, meaner...if you will...but more able to put the resources...if we're talking about increasing act scores..

State Board Appointed CFO Dr. Ed Richardson also spoke to parents behind closed doors.
