Birmingham police find man stabbed in car on I-59 North

Birmingham Police are investigating some sort of stabbing.{} Although they are not yet sure where it happened, the victim was found in a car parked in the median of Interstate 59 North.{} Just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday, an off-duty officer saw the vehicle off the side of the road and reportedly stopped to check on the driver.A sergeant with Birmingham Police tells ABC 33/40 that the victim was passed out when the off-duty officer made first contact.{} However, we've also learned that the victim was not talking to police.{} Investigators were unable to get any sort of information about who attacked the man.{} He had lacerations on his arm.{} Although not life threatening, he was transported to the hospital.

The northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for a little bit, while emergency responders were tending to the victim.{} It now open and traffic is running, though.{} We will continue to bring you information as this story develops.
