Birmingham students with nonviolence campaign to travel to Atlanta


A bonus this year for some of the young people participating in the "100 Days of Nonviolence Campaign."{}The campaign concludes on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 20.Birmingham City Councilman Jay Roberson says, after completing a service project that day, he will take a group of local high school students to Atlanta for a Hawks basketball game.Roberson says the students have served as positive role models in their communities. He hopes to introduce the students to basketball stars such as Lebron James and Dwayne Wade as the Miami Heat faces off against the Hawks.
