Blast from the Past: ABC 33/40 news anchors in 1997

Chief Meteorologist James Spann pulled some 15-year-old video out of the ABC 33/40 vault to show the younger versions of his longtime co-workers Brenda Ladun, Pam Huff and Mike Raita.

The clip is the opening to a 1997 newscast, and shows head shots of the ABC 33/40 anchors. For the most part, they all look pretty much the same, minus the mohawk Spann was sporting then, which went missing soon after that picture was taken.

"Look at the patch! The patch was more pronounced in 1997." Spann said during the commercial break of Tuesday night's 10 p.m. newscast. "And what's left on the side had a little more brown to it."

Spann attributes the hair loss to years of forecasting the weather on live television.

We would love to see some photos of you circa 1997. Send them to pictures@abc3340.com, and we'll all turn back the clock in one, big 1997 photo gallery!
