Body found near Interstate 65 identified as 28-year-old Huntsville woman
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Jefferson County sheriff's officials say the body of a woman found near Interstate 65 has been identified. Authorities say 28-year-old Jennifer Leigh Butler of Huntsville was wearing an orange Six Flags wristband, black leggings and a white bra when a stranded driver found her body Monday morning. Authorities say the woman's body showed no signs of physical trauma and she was likely dumped at the scene after her death. Sheriff's officials say Butler was in the Birmingham area visiting friends June 13 and relatives filed a missing persons report June 16 after they didn't see or hear from her. The woman's car, a silver 2010 Mazda with an Alabama tag 47FM569 is also missing and reported stolen.
