Bond hearing set for next month for man charged in Birmingham police officer's killing
The man accused of fatally shooting a Birmingham police officer earlier this month will have to wait until next month for a bond hearing to determine whether he can be released from jail. Monday morning, Jefferson County Circuit Judge Clyde Jones set Patrick Johnson's bond and preliminary hearing for June 24. He's accused of killing Office Keary Hollis May 10.Judge Jones also granted motions by Charles Salvagio, Johnson's attorney, to preserve the officer's blood sample and video evidence.
