Why not be a hero?
Did you know you could be a hero by just getting a cheek swab?
It's a simple way to find out if you could be a match to become a bone marrow donor.
Clint Cleckler was a nursing student at Jefferson State Community College.
He always wanted to be a donor.
But then he got cancer and was on the receiving end of the donation.
He is now working hard to get more people to donate bone marrow, because only about half of those looking for a donor receive one.
He says, one in 2 that go to the registry find a match its important we increase
the amount of participants in it to hopefully give someone like me a second
chance at life.
You can get screened at Jefferson State Community College tomorrow between 2 and 4 PM.
