Brandon Beachy expects to have no restrictions in spring training
Brandon Beachy hopes he's ready to return to his old form.
The Braves right-hander expects to have no restrictions when pitchers and catchers report to spring training next month.
Beachy has made just five starts since he underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2012.
"I'm going to be a little smarter than I have been in the past, with not worrying about velocity the first couple of outings and things like that," Beachy told MLB.com. "But I'm going to be on the same schedule as everybody else."
Beachy has a 3.23 ERA over 46 big league starts in four seasons.
Braves pitchers and catchers report to the teams training facility in Orlando, Fla. on Feb. 13. The first full team workout is Feb. 19.
