A new study out of England finds breastfeeding an infant may not impact their weight later in life.
University of Bristol researchers looked at nearly 14,000 children born between 1996 and 1997. The children were put into two separate groups and researchers followed up with them between 2008 and 2010. Results showed no significant differences of weight between the two groups.
Researchers say although breastfeeding is unlikely to stem the current obesity epidemic, it's other advantages are significant.
Complete findings are in the "Journal of the American Medical Association."
