Bruce Pearl wants Auburn neutral site games in Birmingham, Atlanta
Auburn's Bruce Pearl wants Birmingham and Atlanta in the Tigers plan.
The new basketball coach says he'd like the program to play neutral site games in both cities every year.
"I love holiday tournaments, I love neutral site games," Pearl said during his weekly appearance on the Tiger Talk radio show. "One of the things I think we should do every year is we should play a neutral site game in Birmingham."
Auburn basketball hasn't played a game in Birmingham since 2007 and has played just eight in the city in the last 24 seasons.
Pearl believes it will be easier to schedule quality non-conference opponents at neutral site venues in his first season at Auburn and he's confident the fan base will travel to see games in Birmingham and Atlanta.
