The Samantha Fire Department was called out on a brush fire in north Tuscaloosa County, Sunday.
The fire flared up in the area of Old Jasper Road and Willingham Road.
Almost 15 acres were scorched, but the fire did not threaten any homes or structures.
The Alabama Forestry Commission was called in to plow fire lines because the area was so inaccessible. It took a dozen fire fighters about three hours to contain the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, but Samantha Fire Chief, Gary Honeycutt, says it might have been caused by a trash dump fire.
