Burger restaurant's elephant statue goes missing, found damaged

A Tuscaloosa restaurant owner is asking a student to pay for damages to his burger joint's rooftop statue.The owner of Tuscaloosa Burger, Daniel Robinson, realized the six foot tall elephant was missing Sunday morning and called police. Robinson says managers of a nearby apartment complex contacted him after it was discovered inside a unit that students were moving out of.{}{} {}The elephant was damaged. It's missing a piece from its ear, and there is a hole in the rear. The other ear is bent.

Robinson says he won't press charges if the student covers repairs.

The elephant is worth more than five thousand dollars.
