Butler wins GOP primary for House District 30


{} {} Etowah County Board of Education member Mack Butler has won the Republican primary for the vacant District 30 seat in the Alabama House. {}The district includes parts of Etowah and St. Clair counties.{} {} Unofficial returns Tuesday night show Butler defeated Rod McHugh of Steele by about 200 votes in the Republican primary. {}Butler will face Beth McGlaughn of Southside in the Dec. 11 general election. McGlaughn did not have primary opposition.{} {} The winner of the general election will fill the seat vacated when Republican Rep. Blaine Galliher of Rainbow City resigned to be the governor's legislative director.
